This video was initially made for a District School Board in Ontario. Its objective is to help elementary-school students to learn more about cultural diversity and book production. The author talks at a slower pace, thus enabling students who are beginning to learn French to better understand.
The Amandine series in a French-Immersion school in Toronto. The teacher organised a bake-and-sale activity based on the second book of the series “Amandine adore la galette des Rois!” Children learn to interact in French with each other and with staff and students from other classes. They also learn about mathematics, menu writing, creative signage invention for their “bakery”, all this while having fun and learning how to count and express themselves in French.
